Many months later: A general view east along the layout. things are finally starting to slowly come together. The road (made from plaster) is now in place.

Another long gap between modelling duties but finally I've got to do some experimentiing with ground cover. A mixture of woodland scenics, greenscene and my little 'uns acrylics. Oh, and rather harsh flash photography! The trackwork is still to be rusted at this spot.

Testing everything in place for fit. Now i need to add hardstanding between the rails and give everything a coating of weathering powder.

erm... Chinese superpower sits the other side of the rusty fence. An 08 peeks out from the cement works. General scruffiness of the workbench is very evident :) The loco gives away that the siding nearest the front of the layout is the DCC programing track.
